Our services

Practical support for everyday life

One-to-one help at home and in the community, seven days a week from 6am to 10pm. Every plan is built around you.

What we can help with

You might want a little help with one thing, or regular support across the week. We'll talk it through and agree a plan that suits you.

Home support

Help to keep your home running the way you like it: preparing meals, laundry, light housework, and staying on top of letters and routines.

Community access and outings

Getting out and about, whether that's shopping, the GP or hospital appointments, the library, a walk along the seafront, a café or a local group. We don't drive people in our own cars at the moment, so we'll plan how you'll travel together.

Day activities

Doing more of what you enjoy, from hobbies and crafts to gardening, exercise and trying something new. Good days, planned your way.

Life skills coaching

Building the skills and confidence for more independence: cooking, shopping on a budget, managing money, using the bus and looking after your home.

Employment and education support

Support to explore work, volunteering, college or courses, and to settle in once you start. This is especially helpful for young adults moving into adult life.

Respite and sitting

Time for family carers to rest, work or simply have a break, knowing someone reliable is with your loved one. Available during the day and evening.

Medication prompting

Gentle reminders to take your medication at the right time, recorded as part of your plan. We prompt only; we don't administer medication.

Companionship

Someone to chat with, share a cuppa and help you stay connected to the people and places you love.

Support for families

Regular updates, a friendly ear and a plan everyone understands, so families feel informed and reassured.

Being clear from the start

What we don't do

We think it's important to be honest about our boundaries. It keeps you safe, and it means you can plan with confidence.

  • Personal care. We don't help with intimate tasks such as washing, bathing, dressing, using the toilet or getting in and out of bed.
  • Nursing tasks. We don't carry out clinical or nursing tasks.
  • Giving medication. We can prompt, but we don't administer medication.
  • Lone overnight support. Our support runs from 6am to 10pm.
  • Driving you in our cars. We don't currently offer transport in our own vehicles.

If you need any of these, we're happy to talk about how our support could sit alongside other services.

About regulation

Kersami Care is not a CQC-registered service. Because we don't provide personal care, our support is arranged directly with you, or with your legally authorised representative, such as someone with Lasting Power of Attorney.

We agree the boundaries of your support in writing and stick to them.

Who we support

Adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, adults with physical disabilities, older people, adults with mental health needs and young adults aged 18 to 25 in transition.

Common questions

How many hours can I have?

That depends on what you need and what's available. We'll talk it through during your assessment. We support up to eight people in total, so we can always give each person proper time.

Will I always see the same person?

Yes. Kersami Care is Kerry and Sami. You'll get to know both of us, and we'll let you know in advance if anything needs to change.

Can you support someone who has just turned 18?

Yes. We support young adults aged 18 to 25 as they move into adult life, including building independence skills and exploring work or learning.

What if I need help with washing or dressing?

We don't provide personal care. We can still help with other parts of your week, alongside a provider who offers personal care.

Thinking about support from 1 September 2027?

Register your interest now. There's no commitment. We'll get back to you for a friendly chat as we get closer to opening.
